College Football Workers Claim Unpaid Overtime

Workers At Cal Berkeley Football Games

Workers of Performance First Building Services, a company that  provides cleaning services at U.C. Berkeley sporting events, claim that the the company underpaid workers who cleaned up after football games.  The U.S. Department of Labor is currently investigating the allegations that Performance First underpaid workers.  The University of California is not involved in the investigation.

Worked 80-90 Hours/Week

The employees reported that they worked up to 80-90 hours in a week but that they did not receive any overtime compensation.  According to the employees, Performance First wrote two paychecks under two different names for one employee to avoid having to pay overtime wages to the employees and also asked employees to work extra hours without any pay entirely.
